Step 1: Install eSIM on your device

1. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Tap Add eSIM (or Add Cellular Plan).
   
2. Select Use QR Code and scan the QR code received via email.
   *If you cannot scan the QR code, select Enter Details Manually at the bottom of the screen and enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code.
   
3. Label the eSIM: Choose or customize a label for your new eSIM (e.g., HappyBook Travel - Thailand) to easily distinguish it.
   
4. Default Line: Select Primary to continue using your local SIM card for calls and text messages, then tap Continue.
   
5. iMessage & FaceTime: Select Primary and tap Continue.
   
6. Cellular Data (Mobile Data): Select Primary if you are still in your home country (or select the travel eSIM if you are ready to board/arrive abroad).
   ⚠️ Make sure to TURN OFF the option Allow Mobile Data Switching to avoid unexpected international roaming charges on your primary local SIM.
   
7. Temporarily Turn Off eSIM: Go to the settings page of the newly installed eSIM and turn off Turn on this Line until you reach your destination.
   

Step 2: Activate eSIM upon Arrival

1. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Select the travel eSIM.
2. Turn on Turn on this Line.
   
3. Turn on Data Roaming for this eSIM.
   
4. Set the travel eSIM as the default line for Cellular Data (Mobile Data) and TURN OFF the option Allow Data Switching.
   

💡 APN Configuration (Only if you cannot access the internet)

If you have enabled the eSIM and Data Roaming but still cannot access the internet, please configure the APN settings manually:

1. Go to Cellular (Mobile Data) > Select the travel eSIM.
   
2. Select Cellular Data Network.
   
3. Enter the APN name (provided in the order confirmation email) in the APN field (leave other fields blank).
   

Step 3: Delete eSIM after your trip

Once your trip is over and you have returned home, go to Settings > Cellular > Select the travel eSIM > Scroll down to the bottom and select Delete eSIM.

Step 1: Install eSIM Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager. Tap Add eSIM (or Add Mobile Plan). Select Scan QR code from service provider and scan the QR code from your email. Tap Add to confirm. Temporarily turn off the eSIM if you haven't departed yet. Step 2: Activate upon Arrival Go to SIM manager > Enable the travel eSIM and set it as the default for Mobile data. ⚠️ Turn off "Data switching and backup calling". Go back to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Enable Data roaming. Step 3: APN Settings (If needed) Go to Mobile networks > Access Point Names > Select the travel eSIM > Tap Add > Enter the provided APN in the APN field > Save it.

Step 1: Install eSIM Go to Settings > Network & internet > Tap the + icon next to SIMs. Select Download a SIM instead?. Tap Continue and scan your eSIM QR code. Confirm the download and installation. Temporarily turn off the eSIM when not in use. Step 2: Activate upon Arrival Go to Network & internet > Select the travel eSIM. Turn on Use SIM, enable Mobile data, and enable Roaming. Turn Airplane mode on and off to refresh your network connection. Step 3: APN Settings (If needed) On the travel eSIM settings page, scroll down and select Access Point Names > Tap the + icon > Enter the provided APN in the APN field > Save it.
